Jo qualified as a chartered accountant at BDO Stoy Hayward in 2003, working in the areas of business recovery, turnaround and strategy. Here he was exposed to a broad range of distressed M&A situations and gained experience in producing business viability assessments and strategic plans rapidly.
In 2006, Jo gained an MBA at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid, graduating with honours. He joined Dowgate Capital Advisers in September 2007 where he worked on several IPOs and M&A transactions.
Jo joined Cairn in May 2010. He manages a portfolio of clients and his recent transactions include the IPO of China New Energy Limited (May 2011), the dual list of Red Emperor Resources NL (June 2011), the IPO of Ceres Media International plc (September 2011) and the cash offer by Acorn Global Investments Limited for Dhir India Investments plc (December 2011).
